さてさて、植える種です。

植える前の１日前に、水に１日付けておくそうです。

どれぐらいの量が必要なのか分からなかったながらも、適当な量をコップに入れて明日を待ちました。。。



NERICA: New Rice for Africa

Seeds have to be in water for 24 hours before the day you plant them.

I don't know why exactly, so maybe one day I'll ask this question to an expert.

It's too easy to say that seeds prbably need to absorb water, and that's not really answering the question.

Speaking of an expert of NERICA, in Uganda there is a Japanese who is seriously experienced in agriculture and NERICA.

To support him, some other Japanese voluntters come to Uganda.
